In 2014, I started my own business, because I had plenty of experience with social media, blogging, and content marketing, but living with a sensory and coordination disorder (dyspraxia AKA developmental coordination disorder: DCD) made finding the right work environment unnecessarily complicated. So I created a lifestyle and professional life where I could choose how and where I work.

Since then, I have worked with clients such as The Good Trade, Uptimize, Travel +Leisure, E-bay, and Yellowpages Canada. I started in the commercial copywriting market. Eventually, I switched to writing and editing work that allowed me to apply my lived experience to writing and editing projects for businesses and publications with a disability inclusion and accessiability emphasis.

Along with my writing and editing work, I continue to be an active participant in a few different neurodiversity activism projects, from Dyspraxia Magazine and Dyspraxic Alliance to my trustee role with Dyspraxic Me. My debut novel: "Stumbling Through Space and Time: My Life With Dyspraxia," is releasing through Jessica Kingsley Publishers on September 21, 2022.

Although I am originally from Toronto, Canada, I am currently living in Marrakech with my husband, James, a consultant in the NCD department of the World Health Organization. If you want to learn more about me, check out my website: www.rosemaryrichings.com.
